僕は2000年代から父に連れられ、秋葉原の電気街で幼少と思春期を過ごした。父は無線やパソコンの畑で、アニオタの類からは全くかけ離れていた。寧ろ、アキバで隣り合う萌えオタクの文化を煙たがっているようにも見えた。僕の幼い記憶に強烈に刻み込まれた原風景は、道端で父に萌え声で誘惑し、執拗にチラシを渡すメイドや、パソコンショップで流れ続ける卑猥なエロゲの音楽(電波ソング)だった。
今になって「オタク」が自分のアイデンティティと化したのは、その記憶を直視した結果だった。
この曲は、電波ソングやアニソンで象られた歪な景色。「電波ちゃん」は、そんな僕の心象風景をそっくりそのまま擬人化した存在だ。
ねえ、電波ちゃん、死なないで。

program note:
I spent most of my childhood and adolescence in Akihabara's electric town, accompanied by my father since the 2000s. My father was in the field of radio and computers, completely unrelated to otaku culture. In fact, he seemed to despise the neighboring "moe" otaku culture in Akihabara. The vivid memories from my early years were the maid cafe maids who seduced my father with their moe voices on the roadside and persistently handed out flyers, and the lewd music (Dempa-song) that played continuously in the PC shops from the "eroge" (Hentai games). Looking back, accepting my identity as an "otaku" was the result of facing those memories. This piece represents the distorted scenery depicted in dempa songs and anime songs. "Dempa-chan" is a character that embodies my impression of that scenery.
Hey, Dempa-chan, don't die.
